F.E.C. NEWS : Third Annual General Meeting of the Federation of European Circassians.
Dear Sirs and Madams, this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Federation of European Circassians was held on March 8 - 9, 2008 in Mannheim, Germany.
The host of the Third Annual General Meeting was the Mannheim-Zwingenberg Circassian Cultural Association. The meeting began at 15:00 h with Mr. Admiral Daşdemir, President of the Federation, welcoming the delegates and the guests. Afterwards an electoral committee, composed of the following members, was established to organize and supervise the election:
Chairman: Azmi Berberoğlu
Vice-Chairman: Erhan Acar
Secretary: Polat Doğan
After the inaugural address of the Chairman Azmi Berberoğlu, the attendance of the delegates was taken on a register. Subsequently, the guests were introduced.
The delegates Yaşar Aslankaya, Adnan Yıldız, Eşref Özalp, Yusuf Bilgen, Tahir Baysal as well as the guests Timur Yıldırım, Çetin Coşkuner (both are representatives of the North Caucasian Cultural Association, Berlin) and Hüseyin Akin (representative of the North Caucasian Cultural Association, Basel) emphasized and commented on the significance and importance of this day.
The Secretary General of the Federation of European Circassians Levent Sürer presented the Annual Report 2007 to the attending delegates. Hereupon the Treasurer of the Federation Ahmet Altunbay tabled the Financial Report for the year 2007.
The Annual Report 2007 as well as the Financial Report 2007 were approved unanimously. The President of the Federation Admiral Daşdemir offered a single electoral list containing the proposed candidates for the Management Board of the Federation of European Circassians.
The list was adopted unanimously. Hence, the Management Board of the Federation of European Circassians 2008 consists of the following members:

Vice Secretary General Ayten Eren

The next topic of the agenda was the planning and the scheduling of federation activities for 2008. After an extensive discussion about requests, recommendations and proposals of the delegates, the Third Annual General Meeting of the Federation of European Circassians was terminated.
